Energy-Optimised Buildings - EOB -

The main expertise of the Energy-Optimised Buildings group is in the analysis and development of materials and components for energy-efficient buildings, the development of systems, on-site testing, and operational optimisation based on monitoring. Their interdisciplinary expertise covers the areas of:

  • Building envelope and building services engineering
  • Technologies for thermal insulation and heat storage
  • Development and characterisation of innovative glazing
  • Innovative energy concepts for buildings and districts
  • Complex monitoring projects
  • Life cycle assessment
  • Energetic evaluation and optimisation of greening systems
  • Contract research and coordination of research projects
